Scott Cossu's music is usually classed as 'new age,' already I really don't understand or care what that means. All I know is that this is great music to relax by, or to play as a 'soundtrack' to your life as you are driving in the car or going about your daily work. It is reflective, uplifting, and at times nostalgic. Scott Cossu is a great 'jazz' pianist with an incredible feel for rhythm. Some pieces have an exciting drive and energy to them that make you want to dance. Others fill you with a sense of quiet calm and serenity. The piece "Gwenlaise" is by itself worth the price of the album-- it is gorgeous and inspiring, and exhibits what I believe is a true spark of musical genius. What a great album!
