The people are wary of strangers but surprisingly kind, and the military company of Irregulars stationed there quickly brings Sir Leon into the fold. The infamous Haddy Toms and her Flock of hired guns have also sheltered in Summit to wait out the winter, and by trying to leave his tortured past behind, Sir Leon must walk a careful line between a new life and the precipice of yet another war.
