This is a fantastic book that is the start of an amazing series. The characters are very real, and the plot is absolutely genius! I love all the action, romance, comedy, and even tragedy. I usually don't like to read books a second time, but this series just gets better each time you read it! I first got this book when I was 12, and I've read it at least five times since then. I highly recommend this book!

Fabulous Beginning
This is the first book in an amazing series. It's the story of Billy Bannister and Bonnie Silver. As they discover their pasts and uncover ancient enemies, they are tracked by the evil slayer Devin. As Billy discovers that his father was once a dragon who was turned into a human by Merlin, he struggles to trust those he once trusted most. In a strange turn of events, Billy's dad is once again turned into a dragon. Will they be discovered by the slayer, or will they overcome the danger? To find out read Raising Dragons.

A Great Book With Amazing Characters!
I picked up Raising Dragons because I am a fan of the fantasy genre. As a frequent reader of fantasy books, I have noticed that characters in this genre can sometimes be unrealistic. It?s hard to connect with giant scaly lizards or teen heroes with extraordinary powers ? which is why this book took me by surprise. Author Bryan Davis has managed to intertwine a captivating fantasy world with protagonists that I can relate to. Billy Bannister, Bonnie Silver, and Walter Foley are three characters who now reside among my all-time favorites. From page one, Raising Dragons is a roller coaster ride chocked full of action, twists and turns, humor, and spiritual truths. So sit down, buckle up, and prepare yourself for an amazing to beginning to a fantastic series.

The Adventure Begins!
Raising Dragons is the first book in the Dragons In Our Midst series. This book started a long journey for me. Three years ago a friend lent me this exciting book, and I have been part of its adventure ever since. Raising Dragons is filled with an exhilarating plot line, taking you through the struggles of two individuals as their dragon heritage keeps them on the run. Billy Bannister and Bonnie Silver display the ever important lesson of sacrifice. Billy?s courage even through his doubts and Bonnie?s faith even amidst her life?s trials are inspiring! A beautiful masterpiece by Bryan Davis, this book opens a whole new world and has sent me on many quests of my own. I deeply encourage you to pick this book up, and begin the journey. You will not regret it!

You'll love it!
As a Christian teen who grew up around books, I know how hard it is to find ones that can really be trusted to stay true to the Christian values, especially in the fiction genre. I almost did a dance when I stumbled upon "Raising Dragons" in my local Christian bookstore, and read it for the first time. Not only has this author successfully presented Christian themes alongside fantasy (almost completely unheard of at that time), but he has done so with a storyline and characters that are genuinely enjoyable, even for an older teen like myself. Parents, you can feel safe letting your children lose themselves in these pages. And for anyone older, don't pass this one up either!
