This recording was made in the Parish Church of St. Martin in Högling, Bavaria, for Telefunken in April 1966, and originally released on LP in 1967 under the title Gregorianische Gesänge; Hymnen, Sequenzen, Responsorien um 400-1400. Capella Antiqua München's performance of chant was state of the art in 1 1966 and still is 30 years later -- after all, Gregorian chant isn't subject to radical fluctuations in interpretation over short spans of historic time.
