Many are representative of composers who made a large and lasting contribution to the guitar catalog, such as Fernando Sor and Antonio Lauro. Others are transcriptions from works for other instruments that are related to the guitar or share its polyphonic capabilities, such as the pavans for vihuelha by Luis Milán and the selections from Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier. Seidenman also has some sentimental attachment to a few of the pieces, such as the transcription of the Renaissance lute song S'Io M'Accorgo. Seidenman is a skillful performer, with good tone and articulation, generally bringing warmth and dreaminess to the music. However, the overall breadth of his expression, and the selections, sounds constrained.
