This produces a very enjoyable program, taking listeners from the late Romantic right up through the beginning of the twenty first century. As to the performances themselves, the Zappas prove that a good sibling relationship can translate to a very fluid chamber music dialogue as well. While on the subject of sibling violin/cello duos, it's difficult not to compare this recording to that of the Capuçon brothers, who also performed the Schulhoff and Handel/Halvorsen. The Capuçons...
