Physics is Fun!
Physics for Everyone gives reader a popular account of some of the key ideas of Physics from classical mechanics to modern physics. The first two volumes is an account of the subject by a master physicist of the twentieth century Lev Landau. Landau apart from being a leading researcher in a varietry of fields (quantum physics, astrophysics, fluid mechanics, superfluids, to name only a few) is also famous among physicists for his nine volume course on physics which has served as the ultimate guide for the advanced aspects of the science. In the direct, unpretentious and intuitive manner of Landau the set of these small books is worth reading, at least for the first two volumes. I recommend it especially to students from high school up so that they may know that physics is beautiful and fun.
