Very good. For some time Picasso's sculptural oeuvre was one of the best-kept secrets of 20th-century art. It was only through retrospectives in Paris, London and New York in the 1960s that Picasso became known as a sculptor to a larger public, revealing a complexity and variety in his sculptures that easily equals that of his pictorial and graphic works. This text-informed by conversations between Picasso and his friend Werner Spies-includes a catalogue raisonne of Picasso's sculptures. This edition has been revised to include numerous illustrations of approximately 740 important works.
