I was expecting something completely different from this book but it had its moments. The author who feels she either is lacking the talent, the will, or the instruction to paint begins making spontaneous drawings from her deeper self (some Freud influences here) and discovers the energy of anger. An interesting approach, not for everyone. Illustrations of the black and white drawings are throughout.

on not being able to paint
easy to read, light hearted look at the early stages of one woman's exploration into art therapy. She outlines her own art practice and the intuitive developments she made in self-interpretation. I didn't always agree with her conclusions, but what a dull life it would be only reading the books that affirmed my own beliefs.
