This is a comprehensive reference book for the mushroom lover complete with pictures and descriptions. It was a Christmas gift for my daughter who is studying to be a mycologist and she loved it.

Excellent reference for mushroom id at a deeper scale, but useable for the novice.
I have purchased 2, one for myself, and one for a gift. I have a third, in my office, which a botanist gave me. I use this paired with the pocket guide- having only recently discovering the pocket guide
