This concert by the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks under conductor Mariss Jansons was recorded at Carnegie Hall in New York on November 8, 2019. Attendees reported that Jansons was in visible physical distress, and three weeks later, he died at his home in St. Petersburg, Russia. He remained busy until the end, and it is likely that more late Jansons will appear, but this was his actual swan song, and it makes a fine memorial.
