It is expected that users of marHaba II are familiar with the content of marHaba and that they have already learned to read in Arabic. Furthermore, a semester or two of Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) is a welcome addition and will help facilitate language acquisition. This book contains 28 lessons. The dialogues and texts in marHaba II were written and recorded by the author specifically for this book. Downloadable audio files are available for every lesson. Each lesson includes: A selected vocabulary list An explanation of grammatical features where needed Comprehension questions in English, while the response is expected in Arabic Suggested topics for conversation in English, but the discussion is expected to be carried out in Arabic marHaba II introduces a wide variety of topics and delves deeply into subject matters that are on a higher level (intermediate) and takes the learner another step further towards proficiency and fluency which are the ultimate goal of any successful language program. Many of the lessons introduce captivating subjects dealing with literature, poetry and the Arabian Nights, to name a few, yet this book remains primarily a language textbook and such topics are introduced solely for diversity and to arouse the student's interest.
