Hanging around the ladies' residence are Khadijah's sharp-tongued lawyer friend Maxine, aka "Max" (Erika Alexander); Max's favorite "bete noire", stockbroker Kyle (T.C. Carson); Synclaire's sweetie, maintenance man Overton (John Henton). Halfway through the season, Khadijah's ex-boyfriend Terrence (Cress Williams)), aka "Scooter", comes back into her life, but she balks at making a firm commitment. Our heroine also has another suitor named Alonzo (Adam Lazarre-White), who refuses to take "no" for an answer. Elsewhere, gold-digging Regine foments trouble among her friends by way of ill chosen beaux, notably Tony (Mark Curry), a comedian who uses the roommates' innermost secrets as fodder for his nightclub act.
