everyone running in all directions, now we know where Benny Hill found his inspiration).
RETURN ON INVESTMENT: 6 of 10 because the costumes and make-up are straight from the Al Capp panels. The back woods language to be studied is enough for many. The title song "Li'l Abner" was co-written by Milton Berle! It goes, Li'l Abner, Li'l Abner, Woo Hoo, Li'l Abner, Li'l Abner, Woo Hoo...
DVD BONUS: None and though labeled digitally remastered, there are the scratches and spider leg bits still left to see. In a cardboard envelope. But there's insight to be gained to the morality and attitudes of pre-WWII America with short skirts, cleavage and inuendo all over the place. Sadie Hawkins Day wasn't about finding a husband, it was about finding a man for... cuddle reasons.
