The Manor is certainly not a place where you would expect to find two residents each plotting a murder - of the same victim -- each without knowledge of the other's murderous intention. Two Manor residents take special note when a man moves into the Manor, a man who made his fortune as a ruthless business pirate. They start to ponder ways to get even with this man who ruined people and businesses that were close to them. There's much planning involved as novices like our two residents think about a murder. Once the decision to do it is made many details have to be thought out. How should it be done - knife, push, poison? What can be done to avoid a trace back to you? It is not easy for a nice old person to get away with murder. Life in a modern retirement home is not all reading, napping or playing cards while waiting for meals, as shown on the cover illustration. There are many activities, good friends, good food and a caring community.. Life can be much like being on a cruise -- musical performances, lectures, exercise rooms and classes, art exhibits and swimming pools plus reading and card playing. Retirement life is good!
