No Remorse over buying No Remorse
Jesse Stone: No Remorse is the sixth TV adaptation of characters developed by the author Robert B. Parker. This made-for-TV film is not based on any of Parker's books. Tom Selleck plays Jesse Stone, the suspended police chief of Paradise, who has issues with Scotch, women, an ex-wife and phones. Like the other Jesse Stone movies, No Remorse is built around a small ensemble of actors, great dialogue, a darkly moody sound track by Jeff Beal, and ambience of coastal New England. Stone is engaged by friend and "coply" colleague State Homicide Commander Healy (played by Stephen McHattie) to assist in the investigation of a murder. As Stone pursues his investigation, his former colleagues in Paradise try to solve a murder of an employee of a local store. Like the other Jesse Stone films, this movie is driven by character development, place, writing, music, and plot. It's a great whodunit that you'll watch again and again. (Well, I did anyway.)
