Generation Z design concepts aside, this four-CD box actually offers great value and represents a good example of what a reissue can accomplish. Too many reissues either throw older recordings together randomly or reproduce the originals exactly, creating the impression that the issuing company is just trying to squeeze more profits from a tapped-out lode. Neither is the case here. Virgin combines two distinct but related recordings from the early '90s, creating a box that could serve as a good gift for anyone becoming interested in classical music.
