Those who have some knowledge of music from that part of the world will notice the parallels between Sundanese music and music from eastern and central Java as well as indigenous music from Bali, China, and Indonesia; nonetheless, the performances on this CD illustrate the fact that Sundanese music has a flavor of its own.
