I can't believe I have spent time reading such a silly book, but I read it for a book club. This book can be called a novel only because there is nothing else like it. It has no plot, and when I got to the end I still wondered how it got published. I have two
daughters who inevitably reached the age of this character, so felt I should be sympathetic, but even having had that experience still could not relate at all to this book. I certainly will read no more Jo Ann Beard.
