Molly Murphy leads a pretty exciting life, and this book is no exception. Mind you, it's sad! I cannot imagine how Rhys Bowen manages to write these books (and all her books) so fast, and still so well.

Molly in the middle
I couldn't wait to get hold of this book....and once again I wasn't disappointed. No time was wasted trying to fill you in on the past storylines of the Molly Murphy series. The action began in typical Molly fashion and continued throughout and was hard to put down. I thoroughly enjoyed the read. Just when you think you've solved the "who done it", there's a twist that keeps you wanting more. I have collegues that have also been seduced by the writing of Rhys Bowen. She is truely gifted at weaving historical facts and locales into her mysteries. This adds to the excitement of the read. It is also an inspiration for women. Today it is more commonplace to see women in stereotypical male jobs, yet there are still areas women are not taken as serious as their male counterparts. Molly countinues to fight for her rightful title of Private Detective in a close-minded male dominant world of the early 20th century. She is truely a character that you can relate with, a young woman who being the only girl in the family has to fight for her place and continues to do so "In Dublin's Fair City" where she tries her hardest to just blend in and go about her business unnoticed but fate has other plans. Just when she thinks things will get back to normal, she gets caught up again in yet another adventure that in the end ties in with what was thought to be over. I love the characters. They are so well written that you could consider them longtime aquaintances that you've lost touch with from one book to the next in the series. I realize and apreciate the quality of this series not the quantity, but it is going to be hard waiting for the next book in the series. I can't wait to see in which direction Rhys Bowen goes with Molly.
