I found the ending rather abrupt. However, I enjoyed the parallel storylines of the two women. The backstory seemed slightly tedious at times, but it was necessary to understand what'd happened; nothing revealed is gratuitous.

This book reads very quickly, and while it has a few predictable story lines within, the characters are well developed for the size of book. It's a quick read, and once you get about halfway through, you won't want to put it down. Great choice for a busy book club that doesn't want anything too long or terribly heavy.
