I had reasonable expectations of this movie because it didn't seem like it had a very big budget and was a little too 'British' to be taken seriously as a modern-day thriller. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The story is about 9 people (men and women) who get trapped in a house at the whim and mercy of a millionaire nutcase bent on getting his 'entertainment' by watching them driven to desperation and kill each other. Dennis Hopper plays a rational priest (no oxymoron intended) unlike many of his films and lends a little star-credibility to the whole enterprise. Kelly Brook is so sweet and pretty you'd think no one ever wanted to hurt her. The rest are a funky bunch including a cop, a rapper, a tennis pro cum model, drug addict, fashion designer, musician and his wife. Overall it is quite realistic but I think the filming could have been a little better. There are times when we see too much of the cast's eccentricity. It's a short but sexy slice of entertainment. At under 90 minutes, you can't really go wrong with this.
