VG. Deep blue cloth with gilt titles to spine and blindstamped borders and series seal to front, no jacket, 8vo. 1st edition. xv+583pp. + publisher's notices. Index, footnotes throughout. Not ex-lib. VG to VG+. Light abrasion with 3/4" long x 3/16" deep loss of cloth (not full chip) along upper spine end, slightly heavier abrasion with small touch of lost cloth lower spine end. Touches of surface loss to tips of all corners, with spot of fraying to lightly bumped upper front tip. Cloth overall bright and fine, gilt sharp and bright. Binding tight and square. 1/4" chip to front endpapers at extreme lower end of gutter/hinge with slight pulling at lower end of ffep. Hint of toning to overall bright and unmarked pages.
