This is a very detailed study of the entire history and background of the Japanese Air Force Kamikaze phenomena. Although I have read a great deal about WWII naval history and seen numerous articles and documentaries about this part of the air war with Japan, I had no idea whatsoever about just how numerous and devastating to United States forces this aerial menace had been. If you consider yourself well versed in the Pacific war, this book may certainly surprise you with how much you actually did not know after all! Very interesting reading from beginning to end, one that will definitely increase your understanding about how the Kamikaze came about, and the unrelenting havoc and carnage they caused so many of our Pacific forces.
