Best selection of worthy Greeks

Robin Waterfield's scope of Plutarch's massive Parallel Lives (an ancient Greek personality coupled with a Roman) is about the better known Greek politicians in Hellenic history, ranging from the mythical Lycurgus of Sparta, semi-legendary Solon of Athens, and the Athenian Themistocles and Cimon during the epoch-turning Persian Wars and the Peloponnessian War Athenians Pericles and Alcibiades, the Spartan Agesilaus and Alexander the Great of Macedon. Buy also the Roman Lives by the same editor to complete this Oxford Classics selection.
