This popularization of math, logic and self reference is really entertaining to read. I don't know if I have learned anything, but mostly I appreciate the aesthetics of this work. I will keep it forever as a reference.

Read this book!
This book is worthwhile in many ways. The outlook is both scientific and philosophical. It is inspiring, fascinating and well written. It conveys important information and provokes independent thinking.
The book is not easy to read - one has to spend time, perhaps re-read parts more than once. The result is most rewarding.

An excellient read!
This book employs theoritical math, the music of Bach, and illustrations by Escher all brought together to give one a good understand of how the human mind works. Do not let the math scare you as it is written in such a way that most anyone beyond the 10 grade can understand it.
