Hardcover, no dustjacket, first American printing as stated on copyright page, the orange cloth binding is bright and clean though the spine is slightly tanned and the corners have mild surface-wear, the front hinge has a slight amount of play but the binding remains tight, the former owner's name is present on the first blank end-paper, the contents are fine, "was written in different prisons in India during the three years between October 1930 and August 1933, illustrated with 50 maps by J. F. Horrabin and includes an Index; 993 pages.

Good in Good jacket. 6" x 9" First American edition. Pages clean; binding tight; moderate wear to corner-clipped dustjacket. Stamped orange cloth hardcovers; top edge green. With 50 maps by J. F. Horrabin. Around the inside edges of the front & rear covers, the binding glue has stained the endpapers. A half-inch by eighth-inch chip is missing from the spine of the dustjacket just below the 'His' in 'History. ' Detailed color scans of defects available upon request.
