"Flesh Fest" is ludicrously catchy for industrial and "Black Brothel" employs smooth synthesizers to create a subtle floating world of sound that could easily fit in a David Lynch film (along with the 14-minute-long "Iaside"). "Cry Baby" could even be Moby's dark side. But despite all of the invention and innovation, it is unlikely that Genuine American Monster will appeal to anyone who is not a fan of the industrial genre.
