Excellent
Book Four in the series, Chronicles of the Kings, is about the rise to power of King Hezekiah's son, Manasseh.
He is angry and insecure, feeling he is in his great father's shadow. His decline into idolatry and divination is described in a believable way, so you almost feel sorry for him except for the trail of innocent blood that accompanies his reign as a result.
By following the lives of Eliakim's family, you see what it was like to live in that time period. Again, love stories and spiritual lessons about forgiveness and faithfulness are woven into the story. Excellent!
