an amazingly easy read, so many aircraft Father-in-law speaks of (a former Lancaster rear gunner) but details of how these aircraft were tested and the resilience of many of the pilots is astounding. Obstinacy at Company Directorship and Management levels also astoundingly obstinate (little changed there then!) as designs are grudgingly moved forward - such an eye-opener. Gives such an appreciative appraisal than can be understood with ease. Will also hand on to father-in-law and assume he may have even greater respect for test pilots if that is possible.
