Employing the broadest conceptual framework to include any individual of Spanish ancestry, this volume outlines how the film industry has homogenized the Latin, the Chicano, Puerto Rican, Cuban, and anyone from Mexico, Central/South America or the Caribbean nations into a despicable Spic (an ethnic enemy) whose negative traits/character have been conditioned by his national origins.
