This author is a must for any readers of Ambler, Greene, leCarre and Furst. I started with The Old Boys, out of sequence, which didn't matter, and was instantly hooked. The story-within-a-story (in Old Boys) set circa year one, provided me with the most fun I had all year. Y'all could also try JK Mayo, John Bingham and Benjamin Black (sic).
