This book was given as a Christmas gift by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow to his son Ernest W. Longfellow and has an inscription in Longfellow's hand stating this on the back of the front endpaper. The inscription reads " Ernest W. Longfellow with his father's love and good wishes. Xmas 1873". Light foxing to the front endpapers, and illustrations. Small abrasion to the inside front cover. Illustrated in black & white with many engravings of ceramics, glass, enamels, metalwork and textile arts. Edited by William Chaffers. 9" high X 6" wide, 391 pages. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
