Castles by far was the best of the 3 in the series even though it was the last and maybe our previous reviewer was the one in a hurry to finish the series. The Gift (middle book) I felt was the one with minimum content and story that bounced around. But even saying that...you cant go wrong reading a julie garwood book...humor, is a trademark,if you pick up her books you know you'll at least laugh.(well some may only chuckle) but the stories are fun and solid. "The Bride" is the Best and "Castles" is at least #2 but all her historicals have wit and style.Characters are developed very well actually better than the story but she gets them to all blend. Now her Contemporaries (the first 5 lost some of (but not all) her humor. Again they are all very good reads. Pick one of them up and you won't reqret it.....

This should have been a good book, but . . . .
This book is the end of a series involving Caine & Jade, Nathan & Sara. Because of that I finished reading it.
I didn't care about the characters the way I normally do - they just didn't pull you into the plot.
It felt like Julie Garwood wanted to tie up loose ends, but her heart wasn't in it.
