This started out as one of the sexiest non-porn (well, maybe slightly porny) movies we've ever seen. It has a lush and expensive look due to using the original sets of the original high-budget movie, Caligula. Then it degenerates into not only a blood bath, but a blood shower, a blood deluge, and frankly that's not sexy at all. Just the opposite. So if you decide to get this, you might consider only watching half of it.
The sexy parts involve nudity and touching, but it's realy not all that "dirty" at that point -- only once the literal swords come out does this become almost unwatchable. I don't really know why we did from that point on. .
Giving this a "star" rating was exceptionally difficult. FIVE and NONE for the two "parts" of this work.
Interesting, very interesting movie!
