An album of Brazilian recorder music perhaps seems unacceptably obscure, but recorder superstar Michala Petri is always a pleasure, and this little collection offers many charming moments. Much of the music was arranged from piano pieces or music for other instruments, but there are a few recorder originals, and one work, the delightful Pingue-Pongue of Paulo Bellinati, is for any pair of instruments.
