A few facts about season one of Boy Meets World: the character of Nicholas (Chauncey Leopoldi) was supposed to have been a regular as one of Cory's school pals, but the part was minimized as the season rolled on; conversely, Topanga Lawrence, introduced in the fourth episode ("Cory's Alternative Friends") was intended to be a minor character, but her status was suddenly elevated after she and Cory shared their first on-screen kiss!
