This book is one of the best resources for massage therapy. It is a detailed atlas of the major muscles of the body, grouped by area (arms, legs, back, head, etc), and shown in detail. Real models are positioned and the muscle or muscles are shown in a sort of transparent view, with appropriate massage strokes or treatments recommended and demonstrated.
Complex musculatures (such as the shoulder joint or the temporo-mandibular joint) are shown in multiple views appropriate to the muscles being worked.
Each muscle/joint is also described in detail, with pronunciation and actions, as well as various therapeutic massage strokes which can be performed upon it.
Massage therapists, sports trainers, occupational therapists, and other related professionals, as well as persons interested in anatomy/physiology/massage.
I would not hesitate to recommend this book to any person interested in therapeutic massage.

Book for more than massage therapists.
Very detailed diagrams and pictures help reader to understand muscles, pressure points; great knowledge for estheticians as well as massage therapists. I learned more about anatomy and massage from this book than the books typically designed for estheticians. Well worth the read!!
