Good. 24mo 5"-6" tall; 248 pages; Small format HC in publisher's black cloth covered boards, backed with polished leather spine, unlettered, as issued. Scarce original edition is complete. Damp ripple to cloth over boards. Spinebacking loosed from binding but intact, save for a small chip missing at the crown. Page stock unevenly toned with some pages darker and feeling stiff while others are creamy and more supple. Apparent exposure to damp storage has introduced a wave to the pages, but they all remain complete and clean, and generally supple. Several small abrasions to the cloth over the rear board; cloth lifting along the top edge of the front cover. Quite scarce in the original edition, this copy would benefit from the basic level attention of a qualified binder. Rebacked and a little trimmed this would be ahndsome copy. As is with all faults. Good only, pending minimal restoration.
