Love and darkness are just two of the powerful forces that run through Amos Oz's extraordinary, moving story. Caught between them is one small boy with the weight of generations on his shoulders. And at the tragic heart of the tale is the ...

I found this book a marvelous one. Oz is a great writer with a memorable style. I would heartily reccomend this, in spite of the fact that it is not an easy read....but well worth reading.
