Bring positive change to your life with #1 New York Times bestselling author Marianne Williamson - preorder her latest, The Mystic Jesus, picking up where A Return to Love left off In this stirring call to arms, the activist, spiritual leader, and New York Times bestselling author of the classic A Return to Love confronts the cancerous politics of fear and divisiveness threatening the United States today, urging all spiritually aware Americans to return to-and act out of-our deepest value: love. America's story is one of great social achievement. From the Abolitionists who fought to outlaw slavery, to the Suffragettes who championed women's right to vote, to the Civil Rights proponents who battled segregation and institutionalized white supremacy, to the proponents of the women's movement and gay rights seeking equality for all, citizens for generations have risen up to fulfill the promise of our nation. Over the course of America's history, these activists have both embodied and enacted the nation's deepest values. Today, America once again is in turmoil. A spiritual cancer of fear threatens to undo the progress we have achieved. Discord and hatred are dissolving our communal bonds and undermining the spirit of social responsibility-the duty we feel toward one another. In this powerful spiritual manifesto, Marianne Williamson offers a tonic for this cultural malignancy. She urges us to imitate the heroes of our past and live out our deepest spiritual commitment: where some have sown hatred, let us now sow love. Williamson argues that we must do more than respond to external political issues. We must address the deeper, internal causes that have led to this current dysfunction. We need a new, whole-person politics of love that stems not just from the head but from the heart, not just from intellectual understanding but from a genuine affection for one another. By committing to love, we will make a meaningful contribution to the joyful, fierce and disruptive energies that are rising at this critical point in time. In the words of Abraham Lincoln, "we must think anew, and act anew . . . and then we shall save our country."

Marianne Williamson is a national visionary (s)hero! She wrote this book (obviously in somewhat of a hurry, so there are little typos and some lack of organization... which editing didn't correct) to coordinate with her Marianne2020.com presidential campaign.
While the subject matter is deeply important, this book is a quick and easy read! And you can certainly fill in the gaps by visiting her website, watching many videos of her talks, interviews, presentations and Q&A sessions with voters around the country on the campaign trial during primary season in 2019.
It's a wonderful compilation of her views and positions, her excellent grasp of our American history and political foundations, as well her basic guiding philosophy. She lays out her brilliantly simple ideas on how we *could* save our country from the depths we've currently sunk to under our current political, economic, social, and health crises. Politics of corporatocracy isn't working for 99.9% of us!
She shows us how we got here. And, how we can alter our downward spiral, if we choose. Our need to self-reflect and adopt priorities that heal and serve us are clear. It's time for We, the People to step in again, she says, as have previous generations in their times of national crisis. This is our time.
She advocates for investing at least as many of our precious American resources in peace-building as we do preparing for war. Radical! If we want a healthier, stronger country 10 or 15 years from now, take great care of our 8-10 year olds today! (i.e. Feed, clothe and provide good health care, and educate ALL American children.) Wild ideas, right?
If you're dedicated to real, significant and meaningful change in America, Marianne's contributions are straight-forward and if implemented, (Dept of Peace, Dept of Children & Youth) could truly shift us in a constructive, productive direction. We, The People are our own greatest assets! That's where we need to devote our time, money and attention. Simple and helpful.
I am so glad I got this book. I read it cover-to-cover and it helped clarify for me the common sense ideas I heard her talk about on the campaign trail. Ideas that resonate immediately because they are so needed and pretty much NO ONE ELSE wants to mention, never mind actualize. In fact, established power worked very hard to discredit her in the main stream media.
At the end of her grueling campaign, she said that she learned two valuable things. First, that American politics is even more corrupt than she knew, and second, that the American people are more wonderful than she imagined.
