This book was written by someone outside of the gang life and the writting shows that. I think we would get a better look if an actual gangbanger wrote the book. If you are looking for a more in depth look at gang life try My Bloody Life by Reymundo Sanchez. This is done from a real gang member's point of view and the author shows a lot of feelings behing all the turmoil his life has gone through.
